Positive Parenting Programme – Triple P

Triple P

The Triple P Positive Parenting Programme started in October 2025

and is being implemented on a pilot basis by the Ministry of Health in collaboration with UNICEF, with funding from the European Union Recovery Fund NextGenerationEU, Greece 2.0.

Triple P is a scientifically validated, multi-level system of parenting intervention that promotes the mental well-being of both parents and children. It helps prevent the development of psychosocial difficulties or psychopathology in children by strengthening positive parenting practices, knowledge, skills, and parental confidence.
The programme is aimed at parents and guardians of children aged 1 to 16 years.

Within the framework of the programme, the following Triple P Positive Parenting activities are implemented:

  • Workshops and Group Parent Counseling for Parents of Children Aged 1–12: Parents participate in activities that help them understand the causes of their children’s behavior and apply positive parenting strategies, supporting their children’s developmental progress. These sessions include both universal and targeted parenting interventions.
  • Workshops and Group Parent Counseling for Parents of Adolescents up to 16 Years Old: Parents receive training on goal-setting, skills development, and strengthening emotional self-regulation. They also learn strategies for managing unwanted or challenging behaviors.
