Goals of the Support Centers

Child and Family

What are the objectives?

  • They reduce the risk of children being removed from their biological families during times of crisis, supporting the process of deinstitutionalization.
  • They enable early diagnosis and the provision of appropriate therapeutic interventions to address children’s developmental difficulties.
  • They provide parents with valuable time to either acquire or improve their professional skills or to seek employment and integrate into the workforce.
  • They contribute to the socialization of children and adolescents and to a smooth social and educational experience in the school environment.
  • They aim to create functional bonds within the family.

They contribute to the development of local communities through:

  • providing guidance and support to professionals who work with children.
  • creating a network of partnerships with organizations and authorities to better meet the needs of those served.
  • raising public awareness and educating the community on children’s rights.
  • meeting the need of many children for daily educational support, which their families are unable to provide due to financial or educational constraints.
  • developing skills through targeted psycho-educational activities tailored to the needs of each age group.
