SOS Babies Home

In SOS Children’s Villages we envision a world where no child grows up without a family. In this context, since 2009 we operate SOS Babies Home, a rehabilitation program for infants and toddlers of 0-5 years old, who have been abused, severely neglected or abandoned in maternity hospitals.

The purpose of SOS Babies Home is the immediate protection of children at risk by offering them a home as well as the care and security they need, so they cover their emotional, mental, and social needs. Furthermore, we offer the children’s families psychosocial and psychotherapeutic services focusing on children’s safe return to their biological family environment. In cases that this is not possible, we seek a permanent family for the children through Adoption or Fostering through public institutions or in one of the SOS Children’s Villages.
