Youth Houses

Children grow up in SOS Children’s Villages until they can either join a foster family or return to their biological family provided that the necessary conditions are met. In case the children remain in SOS Children’s Villages, at the age of 18, they move to Youth Houses. This way we continue to protect children until their complete social and professional rehabilitation.

SOS Children’s Villages is one of the few organizations that are able to offer long term support to children from their early childhood until their social rehabilitation. In the Youth Houses, children, without losing contact with SOS Mothers, receive the support of educators, organize their daily life, learn to take initiative and prioritize their needs and take life into their own hands. Currently, we operate two Youth Houses, in Athens and Thessaloniki.
